Stereotypical Monday

Last night at around 10pm Bowers began throwing up. It continued the entire night. This morning she seemed to be feeling better and it looked as if the throwing up had subsided. We took Kate to school and George to the drs for labs and a check up. A quick spot check on his hemoglobin came back at 10. This is slightly lower then Friday’s check. I haven’t gotten the results back from all his other counts yet but will know more at tomorrow’s appointment. The insurance company is still playing hardball with his medicine for his next chemo treatment but the dr will get it approved and he will begin that next week. We left Nemours and ran to get Kate from school. We came back up to Nemours to pick up some new prescriptions for George. The minute we stepped out of the car, Kate began throwing up. Apparently she ate a huge breakfast and dinner because it was a lot of throw up. I apologize to the janitorial staff who will have to clean up that awful scene. I felt terrible but there was nothing I could do about it. We made it to the pharmacy and back to the car without incident and rushed home to get her into bed. Good news is that Bowers is totally better now and so that means it was only a 24 hour bug. Huge praise is that George hasn’t shown any signs of getting it yet. Bad news is I feel like I may be next. I’m a little off. But that is also good news too since I needed a good New Years cleanse after all of the holiday binge eating. Between the throwing up, no sleep, insurance issues and school research projects that we put off till the last minute, this is the most Mondayist Monday’s there ever were. Good thing we have incredible nurses who think of George as their mascot and always have something fun up their sleeve for him to ensure his appointments alway are fun. The google eyes they got him represents how I felt all day. Well played nurses. Well played. Big prayers that George stays healthy despite the bug going around our house. Prayers for continued healing for him. Prayers for this next round of treatments for him finally knocks out his hemolytic anemia. Thank you Lord for quick recoveries for both girls and for this day to almost be over. 2020 is starting out with a bang. Or rather a projectile.
