Putting on a show

George brought along some extra playmates to his appointment today. Since Bowers and Kate are out for Christmas break they were able to come help keep us company. It was high energy and fun. George was showing off and put on quite the show for his two favorite cheerleaders. He thinks he is big stuff around the floor and needed to show the girls all of his tricks and special treatment that he gets. They were impressed and went along with all of his silly requests and funny behavior. He introduced them to everyone who we came across. “Dis Bow Bow an Tate”. He loved having them come along. After his Nemours appointment we went over to visit Wolfson Weaver 4 to hug on all of our favorite nurses too. Kate was also able to love on her Jordan. The nurse that stole her heart when she was staying there. The best part from today though came in the form of his lab results. His hemoglobin was 14.1. His hemoglobin has never ever been that high. Never. It almost startled me. I had to ask if that was too high. Normal ranges are actually 12-17. So he is perfect. Wow!!! This made me have to hold it together. The tears welled up with happiness and thanksgiving. His platelets were 127 too. Normal range is 150-450 so this is great as well. He even got the pass to not come in tomorrow too since his counts were so great. So we get Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. Best gift ever!! This day has brought lots of joy and lots of praise. It’s all so much to take in. We will be spending some great quality family time together over the next few days and will be able to do it knowing that God is healing George. He is healing him everyday. We know that this high from the positive labs could be short lived but for this Christmas, we are beaming with joy that our boy is doing so well. We rejoice in our Lord and savior. We cherish this time together. Merry Christmas to all of you and thank you for your continued prayers. We thank God for all of his amazing blessings and continued strength in all of this.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
