New accessory

I am sorry that I never updated the blog at the end of the week last week. Things got really hectic all weekend and I just never got around to it. So much for the low key week. It was anything but. On Friday, his labs showed a slight decrease in his hemoglobin and other counts but nothing to be concerned about. Saturday I noticed that his ankle was very swollen. This is the same ankle that was hurting last weekend. The swelling never went down so he had to go get another X-ray today. The results showed no fracture, praise the Lord, but it did show fluid around the joints. I’m not really sure what this means but they told me he would  need to keep an ace bandage on it and then ice it until Thursday when they check it again. If you know George you know that he loves accessories. He was so excited to get his foot all wrapped up and even more excited when we signed it. He is milking this injury big time too. He had not complained once about any pain all last week or weekend but ever since it got wrapped up now he claims he can’t walk. The girls jumped right to his rescue and are happily pushing him around in their baby stroller. King George once again being waited on literally hand and foot. This weekend I also noticed that George looked a little pale. Labs today showed that his hemoglobin had indeed dropped. They were at 10.1. His platelets and ANC were up though so that is good news. It looks like the hemolytic anemia is still giving it’s all to attack George’s hemoglobin. It doesn’t know who it is up against though. Our God will put it right into its place when the time is right. We will just keep on fighting this fight and praying for those bad antibodies to die off for good. It will happen. Gods got this. Keeping a strong faith for the day of victory. In the mean time we will be catering to our now walking challenged toddler until he forgets that he “can’t walk” and gives us all a break from jumping to his beck and call. Oh George, your funny personality is too much. Thank you Lord for letting us continually laugh through otherwise daunting times. They say laughter is the best medicine. Well if this is true, George gives us all enough to keep us well forever.
Romans 8:18. "The pain that you've been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming."
